a year agoGifted and talented students attend the secondary school in the village of Bjni. They display a keen interest in technical sciences, with many of them independently exploring various programs, attempting to create games, and engaging in robotics. Unfortunately, they lack the opportunity for systematic work, acquiring essential knowledge, and honing their skills.
These gifted students encounter a significant problem – an inability to apply and practice the theoretical knowledge gained from subjects like science, mathematics, and technology. The absence of non-formal educational institutions and workshops in Bjni hinders the realization of children's dreams.
A group of school students previously attended an "Armath" Engineering Laboratory in Charentsavan city. While they found the experience intriguing and learned about new programs, transportation issues forced them to discontinue their attendance.
Establishing an "Armath" laboratory in Bjni would provide a fantastic opportunity for numerous schoolchildren to deepen their understanding of robotics and programming. The students at Bjni school possess significant talent and truly deserve such an opportunity. Notably, many former students have already become professionals, even working outside of Armenia.
“Armath’s” mission is to empower the younger generation with skills and a mindset for the economy of the future by fostering and unlocking engineering and creative talents.
In “Armath” Engineering Laboratories, children aged 10-18 are introduced to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education through interactive after-school classes, exciting competitions, innovative camps, and more.
Approximately 250 students aged 10-18 attend the school, and around 70% of them express interest in "Armath" and various programming languages. The "Armath" engineering laboratory will empower them to become skilled specialists, contributing to the country's economy, education, and military defense.
The team comprises program manager Hambardzum Safaryan, Aram Aylanjian, and school headmaster Shushanik Asatryan.
The school continues to achieve success in introducing modern methodology and new approaches to the organization of education. Innovative classes and interesting events are always held at the school. Some of the events from 2023 are listed below:
In conclusion, the secondary school in Bjni offers strong formal education, and the addition of "Armath" with its non-formal engineering education opportunities is what children need to attain complete and successful happiness.
